Amar Seva Sangha commonly known as ‘ASS’ is a voluntary, not for profit, non government organization established in the year 1977 under West Bengal Societies Registration Act’ 1961. Since its inception ASS emphasize on overall development of its operational rather concentrating specific issues. In this process ASS adopt several activities such as Old Age Home, Self Help Group promotion, Pisciculture, Library, Day Care Centre, Charitable Dispensary, Mobile Medicare Unit, Ambulance and many more. “I have given you advice enough ; now put at least something in practice. Let the world see that your listening to me has been a success”-Swamiji With the kind assistance of people from all sectors of the society, young and old, educated and uneducated , rich and poor , virtuous and virtue less, we have been able to arrange food and shelter to the unprivileged older person through our non-paying old age home and to delete the words like food less and shelter less from the dictionary of our society.
